Jade Vine: (Strongylodon macrobotrys) an evergreen woody vine that can grow to a length of 70 feet or more, the Jade Vine produces huge clusters of transparent aquamarine blossoms. Sometimes the clusters can grow to 5 feet in length.

High in the mountainous temperate Rainforest of Trinidad is the Asa Wright Nature Centre. Here a visitor can see the fauna and flora of the Rainforest up close and enjoy tea on the long wooden veranda of the age-old Victorian mansion. For one week in January, 2007, Christine attended a workshop where she had the opportunity to study the plants and tropical birds of the temperate Rainforest. The renderings that resulted from that experience can be viewed here and captured within the artist's book: Come With Me to the Rainforest of Trinidad.
