Strawberry Botanical: (Fragaria ananassa) Growing both wild and cultivated, it is not really a fruit or berry. The strawberry has its seeds on the outside of the skin; the real fruit are what we think of as the ?seeds?. The berry is just an enlarged (and delicious) receptacle.
